There's a reason why winged eyeliner never goes out of style. It's gorgeous on it's own with some gloss, on top of a smoky eye for drama, or perfectly paired with a swipe of classic red lipstick.
However, putting on winged liner proves to be a little difficult for people. Here's an easy how-to get ready for date night.
This is hands down my favorite eyeliner. It is made with Amazonian clay and was named after America's most glamorous synchronized swimming team. It's creamy, doesn't flake, and doesn't budge even under water!
STEP 1: Prep your lids. I usually like to use an eyeshadow primer. This smooths out the imperfections on your skin and really allows any makeup to stay put. I like the Laura Mercier one pictured here.
Smooth a small dab on over your lid down to your lash line.
STEP 2: Start with your inner eye corner. Go slow, and make tiny hatch marks across the base of your eyelid, get as close to your lash line as possible. Don't worry if it's not perfect, you can smooth it out later.
STEP 3: Once you get to where your eye naturally ends, imagine a line going from your outer corner of your eye to the end of your eyebrow. This is the direction you want your wing to go.
STEP 4: Draw that line, about a centimeter long, you can always make longer in the end. I know it looks crazy, but don't fret, with smooth it all out.
STEP 5: Smooth out your wing by sweeping into your main lash line for one fluid swoop. Give your lashes a curl and a few coats of mascara and you're good to go.
